Sketchnotes!
I've been incorporating Sketchnoting into my classroom over the last few years. This PD is intended to introduce Sketchnoting and explore how it can be used beyond the art room.
UO TeachOUT Workshop/Symposium
Workshops focused on building community, confidence, and solidarity with local LGBTQA+ student groups....a day to create and celebrate!
"For the past three years, Lauren has been an essential teacher and presenter for an annual conference for 300+ middle and high school youth. Each year she has met with us in advance to design a collective art lesson and project for the event. The arts-based lessons she has developed each year have captured precisely the concepts we hope to have the students experience at the conference: individual expressions and community belonging.
And not only does Lauren have the ability to develop deep conceptual instruction, she also has the capacity to capture the attention of over 100 teens at a time to engage them in an art lesson. Lauren is creative, confident, warm and engaging. We feel very lucky to have her workshop each year as an anchor experience for the annual TeachOUT Youth Leadership Summit."

Studio Habits of Mind
Over the past several years, I have focused on integrating the Studio Habits of Mind into my teaching practice and philosophy. Along with my favorite arts education mentor, Betsy Wolfston, we've presented PD and conference sessions on integrating the SHoM into the classroom and into our lives.
